Wasnt anything too major. Just did a few touch ups of black here and there and played around with a thousand son mini (bits wise). I could have done some more painting, but my hands were feeling a bit shaky, so i thought id just do some modelling work.
Cerebalos has "challenged" me to a Thousand Sons painting competition. Basically its a Rubric vs Rubric contest and to see who has the better painting abilities. I suspect he will win, but who knows. He's already said its supposed to be a 'straight from the box' rubric, so im a lil muffed as i was hoping to convert my Sons slightly. They wont be major conversions, compared to say my Wolves or Emperor's Children, just the filing off of a few chaos icons here and there, reposition some legs and that be about it. Still debating what type of base i want for my Sons as well. I know for my Angels of the Lion, im going the 'traditional' green base, my Wolves have a snow base and my Sisters will have a tiled base. Im thinking an ash waste base for my Sons, but im not sure what ill do for my Emperor's Children.
Guess that leaves things there for the time being.

Ehh, i might. I know ive been doing lil bits and pieces here with more Thousand Sons bits, but thats about it really.

And since I´ve yet to retrieve the password (thanks for the tip though, both of you! 8) ), I´ll tell you here, that I´ve just bought one Kroot box, one Marauder box and bitz-ordered even more stuff to make "Prophet-Miniature-pattern-Wolf-Scouts"! :)
Seems like a great fun project, tricky with the legs, but what the h-ll..!
Back to your stuff, have you done anything since your last post here..? I know I´ve been very busy with other things and it seems you´ve been too..?
What are the current plans, finish the Grey Hunters and then work on the 1k-Sons or maybe even the Emperor´s Children again..?

Heh, you STILL havent tried the password retrieval.. Heh, your blog is going to gather internet dust soon my friend ;) Good luck with the Wolf Scouts. I know i definitely want to make mine like that when i get the chance to. Glad i have the Maruader boxes already, so i need to get some kroot accessories.
I havent done much at all, touched a few things here and there, but nothing really concrete at all. Man, its already June now *shakes head*. I guess thats another 'goal' post to post.
On a totally unrelated side note, does ANYONE have alot of un-wanted 2nd Edition Bolters Ie the ones that come with Space Marine Bikers on that shoulder pad/bolter/backpack sprue. Im some what interested in acquiring a few more, but im not ready to go out and buy biker boxes galore to do so.

Argh, nooo, how could you throw away such horrid bolters :P I'll have to see what i can find myself, i suspect i should have a fair few since i DO have about 8 odd bikers, plus the 3 from the SW Battle Force, so id imagine id be hitting double digits with them.

Yeah, I know..! But I was drowning in old bitz and stuff and needed to get rid of it... Sucks, but I can´t save anything and didn´t see those sprues as useful, but I regret that now...
Are they for your pre-Heresy stuff..? I would probably use the new bolters for that anyway, they look sooo much better, just pretend they have always looked like that and use only pre-Heresy stuff for the rest of the details..?
Have you done anything more on that Eisenstein project..?
I´ve blown a lot of money again..! Bought Jocke´s 13th Co. army (too little space here, to explain why, I´ll email it some time... And maybe I´ll give you pics!) and a lot of loose bitz. I´m working on a Wolf Guard Squad in power armour, based on the 2nd Ed. Wolf Guards and Pack sergeants.
After that, I´m re-modelling my Land Speeders (just sold 3 of them!), I´ll end up with 1 with assault cannon and heavy bolter and 2 with just multi-meltas (scrapped the heavy flamers...).
Soon I´ll have everything availble in a Space Wolf army!! Bar Attackbikes, Razorbacks ("useless" anyways!! ;P) and a Leman Russ Exterminator... i might add Attackbikes though.

Heh, fortunately for me, im not 'drowning' in on bits which is good. Usually i dont stuff like that useful either, but i keep a hold of them just in case. I would have used them originally for my Pre Heresy stuff, but after seeing some bolter conversions on the B&C, im thinking im going to use the new bolters anyway and convert them. These older style bolters are actually for my Sisters, as the current marine bolter is actually quite large compared to the standard Sisters bolter and seems to put the size ratio off (and not in a good way).
Havent done much on my Eisenstein project, but i did pick up some small train track nails which i believe would be suitable to make studs, so i should really give that a try and see how well it works.
Heh, im being good with my money this day and age, very minimal GW purchases, think the only 'big' one i have planned is to get the new Tyranid codex when its released. Nonetheless, it sounds like you have been one busy bee with all that work. Havent touched anything lately, as im still trying to get back into the mood of doing anything (motivation this month and last, i swear dropped to an all time low).
However, i look forward to hearing how things go.

I got my Codex: ´nidz the other day (Friday) and it looks good, the bigger Bugs seems slightly more expensive but the smaller ones are better and/or cheaper now and nothing seems like a really bad choice. I think everything have a use. Great ´dex! :)
I´m having a game today, against G-Matte (I´m using my 13th Co.), wish me luck! ;)

Well, Ga*-Matte have a lot of new stuff he´ll be using... I gave him a spare Land Speeder for Christmas (he haven´t built it until now) and now he bought a Tornado, I´ll expect both to be used (asscans of course...) and last week I gave him enough parts to build 5 Assault Marines (he also got a shedload of weapons, power and fists, plasma pistols etc.) and he bought a new box the other day so it seems he´s got a fast army coming up. And I´m pretty sure he´ll change his Traits AGAIN! (Can you say Furios Charge? ::) ).
It will be a tough fight but I´ll use the 13th Co. with lots and lots of lightning claws... ;)
I´ll write a battle report on the B&C (If it goes well!! ;) ).
And now, back to you, have you started to convert those Thousand Sons needed for the "cerebalos-challenge", yet..? It seems like a fun thing, make sure to post it on the B&C!

My goodness, my jaw dropped when i saw the number of comments for this one entry!!! Im pretty sure this has to be a new record for comments in a single entry. However, im not that curious to go looking over past entries to confirm this. I havent a clue when the nid codex comes out here, im too lazy to check the Oz GW site to get a release date for it.
However, glad to hear the 13th Co won. I take it Ga*-Matte used his standard Knights combination? Perhaps Min-Max'd Devastator squads and alot of furious charged marines?? But yeah, oh well, i guess that is what happens when you give him a load of new parts.
As for my Sons, no i havent touched them yet, not to the degree of calling them completed anyway. This time of year just hasnt been good at all for me to do alot, so yeah... Not too good, but oh well.
I look forward to reading your BR if you post it on the B&C.
