Lion Guard Update, Part 2

I'd freak out too if i knew i was going to do this much work in the space of days, anyway, less babble and more stuff!!

The Lion Guard are moving along very nicely with minor work being needed prior to the painting stage (attaching a few random bits and doing some GS work here and there). Overall i am quite happy with the look of the termies, and they are definitely standing out for sure (and not basic rank and file stuff straight from the box).

Painting should commence this weekend, so keep on checking in!

looking good.
Even the hoods look good, although the pic is a bit small to see good detail.

And..how do they look on the back?
Just curious.

very nicely doen there mate. GS-robes is one of the toughest basic GS works. I haven't tried a real robe yet, a cape once... but that failed horribly :P
They really make 'm look AotL like.
I hope you're gonna give'm a paintjob too match those awesome robes :P

Yeah, the pic is a bit small unfortunately since i didnt want to go taking individual pics for each termie (due to time restrictions). However, once finished, i will naturally do a nice multi angle pic of each terminator.

As for the back. Its pretty plain there, the robes were only made to be front style and not complete robe-ation of the mini. Once again due to time restrictions. However, for future models, i might try to combine frontal robes with full body robes, particularly for characters.

I agree that GS robes arent the easiest GS technique and although ive done it well, the technique itself still needs work. Id imagine capes would be alot easier, but, the only downside is, you will have to be patient with it to allow the GS to cure so you can shape it accordingly without making a mess of it completely.

Im glad i managed to capture the AotL feel, hell they would still work for Deathwing terminators as well.

Hopefully the paint job will do them justice (especially if my latest Wolves and SoB are any indication of how well they will look).

Check the newest update as that will be a pic of them right before they were painted.
